7-10-2016 - SNS Pool first user of MSW

As the first Dutch seaport, Port of  Den Helder is connected to the Maritime Single Window, an electronic system created by Rijkswaterstaat to maximise communication between a vessel, authorities and involved businesses. In 2010 the Europeun Union decreed that all member states had to facilitate a single point of focus for sending and receiving information and messages on cargo, transport, crew and passengers via an electronic system. The first exchange in the system took place at Peterson, a celebratory event after four years of developing MSW. Port of Den Helder is very proud of the accomplished feat, soon Zeeland Seaports and the Rijkshavenmeester Westerschelde will be active in the new system as well.
